A simple trick to to use BSNL 3G data at the cost of normal GPRS
First of all you will need a BSNL 2g sim gprs activated on it if not activated.

Activate gprs now by sending sms GPRS to 53733

           or
Call 9400024365 to activate gprs
To get setting call customer care 

           or 

Simply visit the site below

Now select the circle name to download Device Settings for your mobile in next page enter your phone number on which you want to activate gprs and login the page you will be given onetime password and send setting to your mobile.
Now do e-recharge 0f Rs 98/- which will give you 3 GB valid for one months (or whatever unlimited plan exists for your circle)

All done now to get 3g speed simply if using phone then
 Go to settings>tools>phone
network>network mode> now select UMTS mode
Then search the network manually and select select bsnl with 3g network which have small 3g icon.
And if you are using usb modem then
Go to the tools>options>Network

1. Network Type>select hspa/utms.
2. Band> select all bands
Set your apn to "bsnlnet"
the speed is 500kbps to 2.2kbps
